Details that matter on a wood floor

Mercier sells both solid and engineered boards. They are not the same height, so check which one is in your house before measuring. Our vent product here is for engineered floors.

Entryways, kitchens and long hallways are where a vent gets stepped on the most and seen the most. Start your Mercier quote with those openings if you're doing the house in stages.

Measure the hole in the floor, not the old register. Register covers overlap the opening, so the cover size is always bigger than the duct.

If your Mercier floor has been down a while, the finish has aged. A leftover board from the original install is worth more than a fresh sample.

Where do I find my Mercier color name?

The carton label lists the collection and color. Your installer's invoice usually has it too.

Can you match a Mercier floor that went in years ago?

Usually, yes. A leftover board from the original install helps most, because finishes change with age and sunlight.

Why is there no price on the Mercier vent?
