Fitting a vent into Mirage
Tongue-and-groove floors like Mirage are usually nailed, stapled or glued to the subfloor. That gives the installer a firm edge to cut the register hole into, and a flush vent can sit in that cut with nothing standing proud of the boards.
Since Mirage makes solid hardwood as well as engineered, confirm which one you have. The thickness you send us should come from your actual boards.
Board thickness is the detail people forget. Mirage is 3/8, 1/2 or 3/4 inch, and a vent face that is meant to sit flush needs to match that height. A leftover board is the easiest way to measure it.

Mirage vent questions
Does it matter whether my Mirage floor is click or tongue-and-groove?
Not for the vent sizes. It does help us picture the opening, so mention it in your quote request.
What sizes can you make a Mirage vent in?
2x10, 2x12, 2x14, 4x10, 4x12, 4x14, 6x10, 6x12 and 6x14 inches. Matching cold air returns come in 6x20, 6x24, 6x30, 6x36, 8x20, 8x24, 8x30 and 8x36 inches.
Where do I find my Mirage color name?
The carton label lists the collection and color. Your installer's invoice usually has it too.
Why is there no price on the Mirage vent?
Hardwood vents are quoted per job for now. Send your sizes, the collection and the color, and we will reply with a price.
Can you match a Mirage floor that went in years ago?
Usually, yes. A leftover board from the original install helps most, because finishes change with age and sunlight.
