Details that matter on a wood floor
Since Mullican makes solid hardwood as well as engineered, confirm which one you have. The thickness you send us should come from your actual boards.
Engineered boards with a thick enough top layer can be sanded and refinished. If you expect to refinish your Mullican floor someday, tell us now so the vent is planned with that in mind.
Wood looks different at noon than it does under lamps at night. If you send photos of your Mullican floor with the quote request, take one in daylight near a window.
If your Mullican boards are on the wide side, a duct opening can eat up most of one plank. That's where a raised metal register looks the most out of place, and where a flush vent helps most.

Usually, yes. A leftover board from the original install helps most, because finishes change with age and sunlight.

2x10, 2x12, 2x14, 4x10, 4x12, 4x14, 6x10, 6x12 and 6x14 inches. Matching cold air returns come in 6x20, 6x24, 6x30, 6x36, 8x20, 8x24, 8x30 and 8x36 inches.
