Fittes and Vents.com both end with flooring on top of the vent, but they get there differently. With Fittes, you or your installer fill a tray. With Vents.com, we build the finished vent from your planks.
Tray kit vs finished vent
The Fittes Flush Floor Vent Lite is made of ABS plastic with built-in dampers. Fittes says it must be installed before the flooring goes down. Its Luxe model uses powder-coated galvanneal steel. Listed prices: Lite $56 to $64, Luxe $92 to $160, Luxe+ $132 to $200.
A Vents.com vent arrives finished, made from your planks on a metal backer, and drops in. Because it doesn't depend on framing the floor around a tray, timing is more flexible.

Which fits your project
If you're still before flooring and want the lowest cost per opening, a tray kit is hard to beat on price. If the floor is already in, or you'd rather not cut inserts on site, a finished vent saves that step. Our vent held 1,200 lb in a 2-inch puck test; LVP sizes cost $135 to $190.
Where Fittes comes out ahead
Fittes is cheaper, ships fast, and advertises a 3-year warranty and 365 days to return on its product page. It also publishes airflow reports, which is a useful extra.
