Turn Leftover LVP Into Matching Floor Vents
Finished an LVP job and have a few planks left over? Those planks can become flush vents that match the floor you just laid, instead of the white metal registers the customer will notice every day.

What we need from you
- The brand and colorWrite it on the box or in the order note so we can match the grain direction and bevel.
- How many leftover planksRoughly one plank per vent. Short or damaged ends are often still usable.
- The vent sizesMeasure the duct opening, not the old register face. Pick each size on the product page.
- Ship the planksAfter checkout you get shipping instructions. We cut, frame and send the finished vents back.
Why installers use it
Planks are already paid for
Leftovers usually sit in a garage. Turning them into vents uses material the customer already bought.
A cleaner finished job
A flush vent in the same plank makes the floor look finished in photos and at the walk-through.
Steel-backed
The frame supports the plank so the vent can be walked on like the rest of the floor.
Quick check before you ship
- LVP or rigid LVT
- At least 5 mm, pad not counted
- Brand and color noted
- Sizes measured at the duct
Questions
How many spare planks do I need?
One plank usually covers one vent. If you have a short piece, send it anyway and we will tell you if it is enough before we cut.
What plank thickness works?
The wear layer and core together need to be at least 5 mm. An attached pad does not count toward that 5 mm. Most current LVP is over 5 mm; only very thin budget products fall under.
Can I order for more than one job at once?
Yes. Add each size to the cart separately and note the job or room on each so the vents come back labeled.
Do you make these from tile-look vinyl too?
Yes, rigid LVT works the same way as plank as long as it meets the 5 mm rule.
