Your COREtec style number is printed on the carton and the plank label, and it usually starts with VV, like VV457-02904. The first part names the collection and the second part names the color. You don't have to pick your color from a chart to get a matching vent: Vents.com builds the vent from a spare plank of your own floor. Add the style number to your order so we can confirm what you sent.
How to read a COREtec style number
A COREtec style number has two parts. Here's one from a vent we built from COREtec Originals Premium:
- Collection codeVV457The COREtec collection. Every color in that collection shares it.
- Color number02904The specific color within the collection. VV457-02904 is Virtue Oak, and VV457-02908 is Coretta Oak.
- Color nameVirtue OakThe name printed next to the number on the carton.
Two floors can share a collection code and look nothing alike, so the color number and name matter as much as the VV code. If you write it down, write all three.
Not every COREtec code starts with VV. The Originals Premium Grande planks we've built from carry a W code, for example W662-02033 Aleta Oak.
Where to find it
- The carton. Check the label on any leftover box from the install. This is the easiest place to find it.
- The plank label. A spare plank's label carries the same number.
- Your receipt or invoice. The store that sold you the floor may list the style number on the order.
- Your installer. If they ordered the floor, they'll have the paperwork.
Can't find it anywhere? That's fine. The spare plank is what we build from, so the number is a check, not a requirement.
COREtec lines and colors we've built vents from
These are the COREtec lines and style numbers on vents we've made, with the colors customers sent us. Your color doesn't have to be on this list. Any COREtec plank or tile at least 5 mm thick can be made into a vent.

Why a style number isn't enough on its own
Some vent makers sell pre-made COREtec vents in a fixed set of colors, and you pick the closest one by name. That works if your color is on their list. Our comparison with Vent Covers Unlimited walks through that approach.
Vents.com takes the other route. The vent is made from your plank on a metal backer, so it carries the same color, grain and bevel as the floor around it. That also covers colors that have been discontinued and floors where you aren't sure what you bought. If the plank came out of your floor, it matches your floor.
What to send with a COREtec order
- Your sizes. Measure each duct opening, not the old register. Our floor vent size guide shows how.
- A spare COREtec plank or tile. One from your actual floor, not a showroom sample of the same color.
- The style number and color name, if you have them. Add them to your order so we can confirm the line.
Prices for COREtec vents are the same as the LVP/LVT listing:

Hardwood in other rooms?
Some homes have COREtec in the kitchen and baths and engineered hardwood elsewhere. We build hardwood vents from your own planks too. Those are quoted per job, so send the details on our hardwood vent quote page.
Still choosing a COREtec floor, or need another carton of a current color? Our partner store Floor City carries COREtec flooring.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the style number on COREtec flooring?
It's printed on the carton and on the plank label. It usually starts with VV, followed by a dash and a color number, for example VV810-03021 for Vintage Taupe Ash.
Do I need the style number to order a matching COREtec vent?
No. The vent is built from a spare plank of your floor, so the plank itself is the match. The style number helps us confirm the line and color, so include it with your order if you have it.
My COREtec color is discontinued. Can you still match it?
Yes, as long as you have a spare plank or tile from that floor. We don't pull your color from stock. We build the vent from the piece you send.
Do you make vents from COREtec tile and stone looks?
Yes. Stone, marble, cement and travertine looks from COREtec Tile are built the same way as wood-look planks.
Can I get a matching COREtec cold air return?
Yes. Returns come in 6x20, 6x24, 6x30, 6x36, 8x20, 8x24, 8x30 and 8x36 inches, built from your flooring the same way as the supply vents.
What sizes do COREtec floor vents come in?
2x10, 2x12, 2x14, 4x10, 4x12, 4x14, 6x10, 6x12 and 6x14 inches. 4x10 and 4x12 are the most common.
